8th April 2018 Windsurfing: El Medano, Tenerife Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F6&F7 Surf / Sea State: smooth chop and head swells Air Temperature: 24 Sea Temperature: 19.2 Weather: sun Max Speed: Distance Covered: Waited until 1:30 when wind filled the Bay, Until then most were on 5.3/4.7m, then it was quickly 4.2/3.7m wind. Just about OK with 4.2m, spilling wind in many gusts. Some hairy rides in down swells in gusts, good, scary fun; and going out was a bit nervous as wind bit onshore so rocks looked close. Don't know how but dropped only one gybe on outside swells, maybe as K4 slide out,some were very nice. Rode several waves inshore, but wind gusty and veering there so bit hit and miss for me, but one came off well. Packed up after couple of hours when wind got too much |
